Grandmentors Bradford, run by national charity Volunteering Matters has volunteers ready to be matched NOW,  who are trained, DBS checked and ready to support young people aged 16-24 who are out of employment, education or training

Through weekly 1:1 sessions, for a minimum of 6 weeks, volunteer mentors will support the young person to set and work towards their individual goals.  Grandmentors are aged 25+ and share their life experience and skills with young mentees. They can offer support and guidance around CV and job applications, building confidence, accessing local services and help to improve general wellbeing.

We hope that Grandmentor volunteers will:

•           Raise the young peoples’ aspirations

•           Improve their self-confidence

•           Increase their connectedness

•           Better equip the young people to enter employment or further education

We are currently taking referrals for young people who are NEET or on the verge of NEET, including young people leaving school, care-experienced young people or who just need a little bit of extra support as Covid restrictions are lifted.
